Hey everyone,
I decided to start this blog for a couple reasons. My friends and family have always told me I've had an interesting life. I've been through plenty of ups and downs in my almost 22 years of life. I may be young but I have lived a lot more than my years portray. Between my trips to China and Fiji doing community service, my scuba diving trips to the British Virgin Islands and the times I was nearly homeless and was couch surfing trying to stay afloat, I've been through a lot more than people realize.
I always thought of myself as a sales and people person. Two days ago I had a really deep and self motivating conversation with a friend of mine, Julio Barsey. During our talk I realized that I'm actually a writer. I believe what Penelope Trunk said in her recent interview in a podcast on End The Grind. You're either a writer or a sales person, you're never both. I've always been good at talking to people, but I realized it was all bull shit. I was selling myself. I was writing in my head and then saying it out loud. So now I'm going to give writing a try.
This blog is for me, I won't lie. Blogging is a selfish act I've realized. This blog is going to about me getting my life in order and the struggles I go through, as well as anything that comes up that I find interesting.
